Conversation with Bill Haas

TO BILL, FROM ME:

---- snip -----
2005-01-26 04:56:26 PM Broodman

I worked at Wal-mart for 2 years with Bill Haas. He was a tough-nosed cashier supervisor but personally he was an interesting person to talk to. He has degrees from Havard and Yale and is smart as hell. It is sad how corrupt the city of St. Louis is and Bill Haas is one of a few that really has the best interest of city in mind instead of his pocketbook. Bill is the type of man who has the worst car in the parking lot of Wal-mart and doesnt even own a color TV but would lend you money for a soda if you asked for it.

Bill,

You've made a giant mistake. You've swayed more voters than you can imagine away from you by this blog stunt. If you need a diary/blog.. keep it private. THIS IS COMMON SENSE. The world needs more people who would lend their last dime to a stranger, and that I give you much credit for, but your political career is shot. Please -- even if you are fighting to restore St. Louis -- consider other professions. I'm not aware of what your degree is in, nor am I aware of your past employment, but at the very least you should be able to find a job as a community college professor. If you are truly a brilliant interesting man, wouldn't this suit you best? You could change a students entire life. This is truly just as noble as attempting to save a spent city.

Mr. Meyer: some horse's ass is using your email to write stupid letters; please ask him to stop; where's the Broodman clip from.
p.s. dont give unsolicited advice to me anymore, and based on this email of yours, the world would be a better place if you didnt give advice to anyone, yourself included, solicited or otherwise; nothing personal, just business, but thanks for writing; I think.

LEADERSHIP IS ACTION NOT POSITION.
IT'S ABOUT SETTING YOUR VISION HIGH AND NOT TAKING 'NO' FOR AN ANSWER.
IT'S ABOUT ASKING THE COMMUNITY TO STAND AND DELIVER -
CONVINCING PEOPLE OF WHAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO,
MAKING THEM BELIEVE IT'S POSSIBLE, AND INSPIRING THEM TO DO IT.

AS BOBBY KENNEDY SAID, "SOME PEOPLE SEE THINGS AS THEY ARE AND ASK 'WHY?' - I DREAM THINGS THAT NEVER WERE AND ASK 'WHY NOT?'".

TO BILL, FROM ME:

Dear Bill,

The word "Broodman" is/was underlined and in blue text. This, oh brilliant one, references that the text is in fact a hyperlink to another website. If you click the little blue word you will quickly find where the comment originates from.

Last election you received less than 00.5% of the vote. I think it would be wise to shut the fuck up and take any advice you can get.

Sincerely yours,
Ryan Meyer

PS: The public doesn't vote for bitter cynical bastards, no matter how brilliant or revolutionary their ideas or leadership may seem.

PPS: I wasn't aware you taught at Harris Stowe. I'm sure the students adore you.

Bill Haas is teh suck.

If you haven't seen his journal, the douche bag known as Bill Haas is running for Major of St. Louis. However, he also writes about killing himself if he doesn't win the race for mayor in his blog and then emails links to major newspapers.

To quote St. Louis Post Dispatch, "The Web posting is extraordinary even for Haas, whose political career has been marked by the outrageous. He has moonlighted as a sex columnist while a member of the School Board, ran ads for a rich wife to help pay for his 1997 mayoral bid, applied for a reality TV show called "American Candidate," sought election to Congress, the state Legislature and the circuit attorney post, and continues to bombard the city's media daily with meandering e-mails."

He also mentions something about running for PRESIDENT in his blog.

This is why I have created BillHaasSucks. If you think he should go ahead and pull the trigger.. (but perhaps try to give away your pets first before you euthanize them, asshole) then add a comment! Also visit his journal, http://billhaas.blogger.com, and let him know how you feel. Together we can make this happen!
